Relics is a series of 10 objects, created during the period the artist spent time and watched her uncle’s memory and daily functions deteriorate over time due to Alzheimer’s disease. All the forms are wedged clay pieces, an essential movement to working with clay; thus the sculptures convey and commemorate the starting point of a moment while echoing the inevitable, uncontrollable erasure of it.
